Project Manager

DSP AMERICA is part of the Swiss based DSP Group, an IT and consulting services Company with more than 40 years’ experience. DSP provides worldwide software and operations management solutions to the shipping, port, and intermodal transportation industry. We maintain a special focus on process and equipment automation, optimization, software integration, support, and project management.

DSP is a certified professional service and training partner of Kaleris (formally NAVIS LLC).

The DSP team is composed of highly experienced analysts, project managers, and software Engineers who value strong cohesion, great autonomy, and have unique professional experience in IT and operations consulting.

DSP is currently looking for a Project Manager to join its American branch, reporting directly to the DSP Director of Professional Services. This position is open for remote work to all people with a regular work permit in the USA.

We request the candidate to be prepared for frequent travelling to customers in the Americas and occasionally worldwide.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The candidate will lead and coordinate complex projects such as the integration and optimization of terminal operating software, the automation of container handling equipment, process and technology assessments, and software upgrades. The candidate will manage the project team resources to ensure that deliverables meet high standards of quality, that we are aligned with customer expectations, will keep track of budget and planning/scheduling, and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Along with the coordination of DSP’s executive team, the candidate will manage:

•    Full project lifecycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure

•    Coordination between cross-functional internal teams and client stakeholders

•    Budgeting and project planning

•    Risk identification and mitigation

•    Progress monitoring and client reporting

•    Team leadership and task delegation

•    Implementation of industry best practices in project and change management

SELECTION CRITERIA

The candidate for this role will be selected based on the following criteria:

 

DEGREES AND STUDIES

·        Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines

·        Knowledge or certifications pertaining to software integration, maritime industry, IT architecture, and automation

·        Project Management certifications (PMP®, PRINCE2®, PMI-ACP® or equivalent) are strongly preferred

 

WORKING EXPERIENCE

·        At least 8–10 years of experience in an international business environment

·        Proven experience in managing complex projects in logistics, marine ports, or industrial automation

·        Demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams, vendors, and international stakeholders

·        Familiarity with Terminal Operating Systems (TOS), system integration, vendors related to marine terminal software or hardware, and process automation in port or logistics sectors is a strong plus

·        Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills

·        Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities

·        Diplomatic and culturally aware, with the ability to adapt to international contexts

·        Able to work independently, under pressure, and across time zones

·        Precise, discreet, and attentive to detail

·        Highly organized and proactive

·        Passion for successful completion of projects

 

ADVANTAGES

Not required, but an advantage if the candidate has:

·          NAVIS N4 knowledge or certification

·          Fluency in Spanish (oral and written)

·          Familiarity with Agile or Hybrid Project Management approaches

·          Knowledge of digital simulation, automation integration, or digital twins

 

LOCATION

The candidate will be employed by DSP AMERICA and will primarily work remotely from their residence. This role requires frequent travel across the Americas and the occasional long distance trips worldwide. Flexibility to work across different time zones is essential.
